Walking around Tijuana, Mexico...

A couple of weeks ago I was in San Diego with Jon and we decided to go down to Tijuana, Mexico. Earlier that week Tijuana was the scene of lots of drug related shootings that caused several deaths. A lot of people warned us to not go there because it was not safe. We were not going to go, but at the last minute we were like, we have to go, so we did. Once we got there, the place seemed empty compared to what it is normally. There were lots of cops with machine guns and almost no sign of locals. I wonder if it was because of siesta time. Anyway, we went down there and spent a few hours walking around and shooting some Holgas. I'm glad we went there; Tijuana is the perfect place for cross-processing film with toy cameras.
Pictures from San Diego coming soon...

Here we go...

Welcome to my new personal blog. I will be posting images shot only with my Holga 120s.
The Holga is an inexpensive (I paid $15 for mine) medium format toy camera. The reason why I love this camera is because of its simplicity. When shooting with this camera I no longer worry about f-stops, different lenses or bulky equipment. This camera is all about using the sunny 16 rule and composition.
Thank you for stoping by and I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed making them.
Please come back often.
